Red Right Hand is a two player experience that uses one Leap Motion Controller. Players must decide whether to work together to save their respective colored blocks from perishing within the ever growing black hole by placing them on a shelf, or sabotage one another. While experimenting with the Leap Motion, it became apparent that the device read a maximum of two hands, but did not care if both hands were right hands or left hands. Upon this discovery, we decided that any right hand used by either player would be represented by the color red and only be able to pick up red blocks, while any left hands would be blue and only be able to pick up blue blocks. The ultimate goal would be for each player to recognize their visual differences and assist one another to save all of the blocks on screen, however, this created an interesting and fun social experiment and surprise gameplay mechanic for players, as most approach the experience as a means to compete with another player upon seeing visual differences.
